natalia: class of 2017 {snohomish senior pictures}

Class of 2017 Senior: Natalia

Natalia is the youngest of 3 siblings, and I feel so lucky that I have gotten to photograph all of their senior pictures! They are each so different from the other and it’s been so fun to get to know them each over the years. Their parents must’ve done something right to have such wonderful, driven, artistic, and confident kids.

Graduation is just a few days away now! I can hardly believe it!

emily s.: class of 2017

emily_salcedo_11Class of 2017 Senior: Emily

Kamiak High School

Loves high school because: “My favorite part of high school is probably Friday night football games.”

Activities: Emily used to play soccer up until her sophomore year and stopped due to injures, but she plays every now & then. She also job shadows every week for a physical therapist in Mukilteo.

In her free time you can find her: “…eating at my favorite Pho place haha.:)”

Describes her style as: “…pretty broad & kinda eclectic. I love wearing anything cute as long as I’m comfortable too.”

Looking forward to life after high school because: “I hope to get into a college with a great physical therapy program and create my own success through helping others by being a physical therapist.”

A note for Emily: I am so glad I got to meet you! You absolutely shine in these photos. Thank you for trusting me to take them!

lia: class of 2017

Class of 2017 Senior: Lia

Kamiak High School

Loves high school because: “I don’t think that I really have favorite part of high school.  I love learning about new things, and I enjoy the social aspect of it as well.  If I had to chose one thing, I would have to choose singing in the choir.  In our choir, it is not only a community, but we are family, and as soon as you walk through the door, you know and feel like you belong there.  I also love singing in the Starry Knights Barbershop choir and the MidKnights Barbershop.  This is my second, and last year singing bass in the Starry Knights, and I have enjoyed every second of it. ”

Activities: “I play rec indoor and outdoor soccer, and have for many years.  I also love to play basketball, and used to play on a rec team.  Now, I just play with my sister and or neighbors with the hoop in our driveway.  I took ballet, jazz, contemporary, and tap at Allegro for a few years before I had to stop because of my crazy high school schedule.  I have taken piano lessons for 10 years, which is crazy to think about because it doesn’t seem like that long.  I also took voice lessons last year, and hope to continue them this year as well!”

In her free time you can find her: “Sitting at my piano playing all genres of songs; from classical to pop, musical theatre, and anything I can sight read.  Adele is my favorite to play!”

Describes her style as: “I have no idea what my personal style is!  I really like comfortable clothes; jeans and t-shirts.”

Looking forward to life after high school because: “I’m so excited for college!  I don’t know what I want to major in, but there are so many options!  I’m excited to learn about the different options, and hopefully find one that really fits as something I want to do for the next chapter of my life!”

A note for Lia: It’s been so fun to get to know you over the past few years through dance, and now senior portraits! I hope that you love your pictures, and that you feel they are the true representation of you as you were right before beginning your senior year. Enjoy these last few days of senior year! It will fly by!

A fun fact about Brooke:  ” I’ve wanted to become a veterinarian my entire life, and plan on reaching that life long dream after high school.”

Tips for other seniors: “…just be you and don’t be afraid to share your ideas, or wear things that express who you are.”
Outfit details: “The outfits I chose were things that I felt confident in, and expressed who I am. Wear things that make you feel beautiful and confident. Don’t try and be someone your not, if you normally wear a t-shirt and jeans, then wear that.”
