cindi & matt: married

Cindi and Matt are awesome. The are incredibly intelligent and amazingly witty. I can’t believe I am about to write this but, I have never laughed so hard at a wedding. Never. And, I mean that in the best way possible. Between their first look full of funny faces and the wedding party posing in every combination from the Arrested Development chicken dance to the ever so elegant Tebow pose, I knew I was going to have to work to keep my camera steady the rest of the night.

Their ceremony only elevated the fun. Their processional song was Carmina Burana (very dramatic indeed). Their officiant began the ceremony with an excellent impression of the priest in The Princess Bride. The readings offered by friends were both insightful and entertaining. The toasts were boisterous (one included a bet won by the groom, and another included a drinking game). Even the cake cutting was fun (Cindi played “airplane” with the cake fork while feeding Matt). The night went on to include dancing, scotch, cigars and all kinds of shenanigans. It was amazing to see what a close knit group of friends Cindi and Matt have, many of them travelled to be at the wedding and ALL of them looked to be having a great time celebrating.

Needless to say, Garrett and I had a wonderful time at their wedding. We were both so touched when Cindi and Matt took the time to email us after the wedding to say that they felt like old friends, rather than strangers, were taking their photos.

We could only hope to be as funny and smart as your friends, but the feeling is mutual you two! Enjoy married life! We hope to see you again soon.

And, this is what was happening above the neck…

The event took place at the very lovely EM Fine Art Gallery in Seattle. It was catered by Shooby Doo Catering (and, man it was tasty).
